Called To Serve Pastors
For years, I struggled to find my place in ministry. Early on, I realized that being a senior pastor wasn’t my calling; I didn’t have the musical gifts for worship leadership, and I was not brave enough for youth ministry. I enjoyed spreadsheets more than counseling and ministry planning over preaching. I discovered that God had equipped me with unique gifts to strengthen the church through church administration.
I began following Jesus late in High School and knew I was called to ministry in my college days at Stephen F. Austin University. I completed my Master of Divinity at New Orleans Baptist Seminary and worked in numerous pastoral roles, including children’s, church administration, Bible studies, small groups, guest experience, and most recently, as Executive Pastor. I have been called the generalist, knowing how to work with nearly any area of ministry.
I’ve served in churches ranging from just over 100 to over 1,000, and yet my heart beats strongest for the smaller, normative churches. I believe smaller local congregations will thrive by focusing on discipleship through relationships and simple, impactful ministries. I aim to use the breadth of my experiences and administrative gifts to equip and strengthen these churches.
